Method A

Answer these questions to select the Black Box Wireless solution that fits your needs (You need to have a free line of sight!)

I want to use 802.11b/g (2.4 GHz) radio

I want to use 802.11a (5 GHz) radio

The distance between Point A and Point B is in meters (enter 400 for 400 Meters)    
Method B

Enter the physical data of your wireless equipment to calculate the maximum distance.

The wireless system operates at frequency in MHz (enter 2400 for 2.4GHz)

The output power of your equipment is in dbm (enter 20 for 100mW, check AP manual)

The number of trees and bushes being in or nearby the free line of sight

The number of concrete walls being in or nearby the free line of sight

The antennas have the following dbi value

The opening angle of the antennas (horizontal) in degrees (enter 360 for omnidirectional)

The length of the antenna cable in meters

The attenuation of the antenna cable per meter in db
